Forge Cottages are newly refurbished Luxury Holiday Cottages set in the heart of rural Herefordshire close to the Welsh border. We’ve created a sumptuous, ‘HOME AWAY FROM HOME’ for our guests, with all the luxuries you need to help create memories for life.

Invigorating country air, space and stunning views make Staunton on Arrow, Herefordshire the perfect destination for your next staycation. Whether that’s getting away from it all, or a fun adventure packed family holiday.

You can walk the Mortimer Trail, Offa’s Dyke or take a challenging walk to the top of the Long Mynd from Carding Mill Valley, ride through the beautiful countryside enjoying the cycle paths of the Black and White Village Trail, sample some of the best local cuisine in Herefordshire, or simply enjoy some family fun.

Head towards the Welsh mountains for lakes and waterfalls & the Elan Valley Dams or visit the quaint border market towns and romantic countryside.

For the more adventurous Oaker Wood Leisure is a Woodland Outdoor Activity Centre set in in 175 acres of mature woodland offering Quad Biking, Paintball, Rafting, High Ropes and a Zip Wire for those looking for an adrenalin rush!

What a wonderful stay we have had! These cottages are the perfect place for a relaxing break. Best nights’ sleep in ages – waking to hear just the birds singing. We’ve explored the local area (Pembridge is beautiful), walked to the weir, and climbed The Mound near the church one evening to look at the view. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

A lovely cottage in a picturesque location. We enjoyed a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. The perfect place to stay. The cottage was immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was excellent WiFi coverage. It was enjoyable to sit out on the patio and watch the sunset in the evenings and star gaze at night! There are plenty of interesting walks to do, a perfect base to explore the local area and within easy reach of Pembridge, Ludlow and many other attractions. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

Such a lovely cottage. Very well appointed, cosy and immaculately clean. The bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and there’s a bathroom/en-suite for each bedroom which is really handy for friends travelling together or families with older children. It’s a wonderfully peaceful location which makes you feel totally refreshed and relaxed from the moment you arrive. We’re very much looking forward to returning!

We’re back from our weekend and I just wanted to say a huge thank you. We had an absolutely lovely stay. Amazing cottages, so beautifully done and in such a gorgeous location! We couldn’t have asked for anything better. And all the little touches from the welcome gifts to the lavender on the towels just makes the stay just that much more special… thank you!

Just back from a lovely weekend stay at Forge Holiday Cottages. Spotlessly clean, well-equipped, light, airy and really spacious cottages (no issues for somebody 6'4"!) with modern bathrooms and log burners. Set in the prettiest corner of a beautiful village, with views over the hills and plenty of walks, attractions, and pubs within easy reach. If you like pretty views and a starry sky and a good night's sleep, this peaceful corner of Herefordshire is perfect! Thanks for having us.

We had a lovely stay mid October for 3 nights. The cottage is characterful yet modern. Warm and cosy. It is situated in a delightful and friendly village. There is plenty to explore in the local area. We were visiting from France and found the owner to be responsive and very helpful. Thank you

This cottage was absolutely gorgeous, I would definitely recommend staying here. There are lovely sunsets/ sunrises, beautiful walks and rivers. Pubs and restaurants not to far away and lovely food. This cottage was a cosy peaceful stay, the birds chirping in the mornings and they even provide with a starter pack - including washing up tablets ect. - kind neighbours, if you need anything the neighbours are extremely helpful. The gardens are a lovely place to relax in the sun with a drink. The beds are super soft and comfortable, I will definitely go again. Can't wait to book another night here xx

Comfortable,stylish well equipped cottage,has every home comforts for all needs,and plenty of local information. Much appreciated the welcome tea,crisps,hot chocolate ,cider and milk. Beautiful lounge with wood burner ,well equipped kitchen if you want to cook at home.comfortable beds with nice bed linen and fluffy towels. Amazing star gazing and great views from the cottage with plentiful local walks.

We greatly enjoyed our 11 day stay at this delightful cottage. The very recently updated property is very spacious, extremely comfortable and very fully equipped. A lovely peaceful location in a delightful area, especially good for cycling and walking, but within easy reach of many interesting towns and villages.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! The cottages are wonderfully renovated, matching the best of the old (wooden beams, etc) with all the conveniences of the new. It meant that we happily spent time indoors when the weather wasn’t great while enjoying the patio when the sun came out. It’s a great location for various little day trips and the hosts provide lots of information about things to do. Would definitely recommend!

Best nights' sleep I've had in ages! This cottage is perfect - a real home-from-home, with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable. Loved waking up to hear the birds singing. Took a wonderful trip around the beautiful villages in the area. Enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening, admiring the view and taking it easy. A truly relaxing break - can't wait to come back again soon!
